2.) Go to the pool - remember your pool gate key

3.) Walk around the area - take the Wailea beach path north, take a swim along the way, stop at the pool cafe at the Grand Wailea

4.) Explore the local beaches - Big Beach (head south past the Maui Prince Hotel) Maui Beaches     Maui Revealed - Great "Secret" book.

(note: the nude beach is on the north end of Big Beach. Hike up the cliff trail. Don't expect beautiful people though).

5.) Snorkeling - rent some well fitted snorkel gear at Maui Dive Shop at Shops of Wailea or Rainbow Mall Snorkel Shop in Kihei (mask, fins, and snorkel). If beginner, ask for instruction and easy beginner spots.

6.) Hana - better to spend the night, but if a day trip leave early, pick up a scenic tape for the car on the way that describes the sites. Best bets: Bamboo forest hike, blue pool, Oheo pools (7 sacred pools), beaches.

7.) Black Rock - jump off or swim. Great sea life, and the jump is a thrill. Choose a low jump if beginner.

8.) Visit Lahaina - walk the main street and shops. One of the largest banyan trees.

9.) Roy's chocolate soufflé - Roy's Kahana

10). Golf - Makena, Wailea, Kapalua, Kahili

11.) Other points of interest: Twin Falls, Iao Needle, Upcountry, Poli Poli trail, Makawao and rodeo, Haile Maile general store - Creme Brule', Kaanapali Beach - action.
